It's a Match!

If you haven't noticed, a new milestone has been added to our timeline to the right...yes, we received notice of our Letter of Approval (LOA) from the CCCWA today! We have officially been approved and matched to Wang Long Qian, our Henry, and we couldn't be more elated. Yes, we had to eat out for dinner to celebrate :)

So where do we go from here?  Well, we have letters and payment to send to CCAI along with final immigration forms which they will then send on to the USCIS.  Once immigration procedures are completed and the CCCWA receives our signed Letter of Approval, we await Travel Approval from China.  This is China's official invitation for us to travel to meet Henry.  The estimated time for actual travel to China is 10-14 weeks after the LOA arrives, so we are most likely looking at early December.  What an amazing Christmas we could be having this year!

Please continue to pray for all these details and specifically for further grants and gifts to come in so we can make the large costs coming up.  Thank you so much for your love and support...praise God with us for the great news today!

Where Y'at?

In honor of our time in New Orleans, I thought I'd title this update, "Where y'at?", which simply means "How are you?"  We are great here, still in waiting mode concerning our LOA (Letter of Approval from China), and seeing God provide for the financial aspects of this journey.  As you can see from the thermometer to the right, we have raised over $13,000 of the $25,000 we are attempting to raise...over half way there!  This amount includes a $5000 grant to be used for in-China travel and orphanage costs; we also received a matching grant to be given us following Henry's arrival home, which is great but those funds have yet to be raised and do not help with up-front costs.  Praise the Lord for His provision so far!  We have a total of $3010 coming due soon to our agency so please pray for provision of the remaining amount we need to cover it.

We could be receiving our LOA this month and possibly traveling early December, if the timeline moves as other families recently have on the same adoption track as us.  We continue to have sweet Skype visits with Henry. We have noticed that not only is he incredibly bright and has great English pronunciation, but he is a boy on the move and doesn't let his orthopedic challenges stop him.  Whether looking at a book, coloring, eating, climbing around in his chair, or messing with the computer, he doesn't sit still much as we visit:).  He is quite entertaining and adorable to watch.  Here are a couple of photos attesting to this:

We are so thankful he is happy and thriving at New Day as he waits for us to come bring him home.

Blessings everyone!
